So… I completely forgot to post yesterday. Oops. I have no excuse. Except that I was super tired because I slept really badly on Saturday night. So anyways, here’s two posts in one!
I got like 6 hours of sleep the night before because for whatever reason, I could. not. fall. asleep. Then I had to get up for church. So yeah, that was fun.
There was a meal after church for lunch, which means… *drumroll* I didn’t have to eat disgusting cafeteria food! Hallelujah! It was awesome.
After I got back from that, I had a bunch of art homework to do. I was assigned a project in one class that seemed simple, but it was all an illusion! Turns out that this project took me for.ev.er. to finish, inspiring this Facebook post:
Me when I’m assigned art homework:
“Dude I get to glue things as HOMEWORK!!! I’m so glad I’m an art major instead of doing biochemistry or something. This is so cool!!!”
Me when I’m doing art homework:
“I HAVE BEEN WORKING ON THIS FOR 43 HOURS AND IT’S STILL NOT DONE I THINK MY BRAIN IS MELTING CAN I PLEASE DO SOME MATH OR SOMETHING ASHDKJFGJDFJDJDF”
Anyways, after the endless homework, I made cakeballs with Calvin! They’re really easy. All you do is bake a cake from a mix (gluten-free, in my case), and as soon as it comes out of the oven, scrape it out of the pan and into a bowl. Dump in a can of icing and mix it thoroughly with the mixer. After it cools, roll into small balls and coat them with melted chocolate candy coating (almond bark). They are sooooo good!
I also ended up going to Target [again] to get everything I forgot to get yesterday. I need to remember that going to Target with Calvin is fun but utterly non-productive.

Today was my heavy class day again, but everything went smoothly! I also had pretty good food for both meals in the cafeteria, so today was just a good day.
My drawing class this semester is figure drawing, and right now we’re starting out by drawing skeletons. I hate it. It is sheer torture. I dislike drawing in class anyways because I never even get close to having a finished product in the time allotted, and skeletons are way more complicated than most other things, so it drives me crazy. Not to mention that this class always runs right through dinner time and we have to stand at easels the entire time, which means several things:
1. I’m always tired by this time.
2. Standing for 2 hours at the end of the day makes my back and feet hurt.
3. I’m generally starving.
Figure drawing just isn’t a ton of fun right now.
After all of my classes, I FINALLY finished my homework project from 2-D design. Good grief. I probably spent about 10 hours total on it. The assignment was to make 4 compositions out of black and white construction paper using 6-20 dots each, 2 with 1″ dots and 2 with 1/2″ dots. I might post pictures tomorrow after my professors tear them apart. I’m only slightly kidding… they seem SUPER picky.
And that’s pretty much I did all day. Thrilling, no? Ah, the life of a college student…
